Nicolas Mark Berg, 31 was called home to God’s Kingdom on Saturday, March 25, at his home in Black
River Falls.
He born in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, on May 3, 1991, the son of Brenda Jill Werre and Steven Mark
Berg. He was the youngest of 4 boys.
Though in the last few years Nick struggled with his MS diagnosis, he loved nature. He enjoyed being
surrounded by the trees, being near water, and sitting around the fire with his family and friends. He
loved music of all styles, and he loved his family. All of his cousins meant the world to him, and he had
wonderful memories that he cherished with each of them. Although he had no children of his own, his
nieces and nephews had a very special place in his heart.
Nick is survived by his mother and stepfather Brenda and Mark Domabyl; his father, Steve Berg;
brothers, James Michael Gunderson (Iva Luther), Steven Scott Berg (KayLee), Patrick Geary Berg; nieces
Autumn Gates, Meadow Gunderson, and Lylly Berg; nephews Colt and Fenix Berg; and many aunts,
uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandmothers Maxine Werre Twedell and Lorraine Berg; grandfathers
Gerald Werre and Aaron Berg; and Nick’s best friend and cousin Jordan Reed.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 8th at Countryside Evangelical
Free Church in Merrillan, with visitation beginning at 10am, and services beginning at 11am. Lunch and
fellowship to follow.
