Norman Smith, age 83, passed away at the Black River Memorial Hospital on November 25, 2022.

Norman was born to Paul and Stella (Brown) Spearsmith in DeSoto, Wisconsin on July 28, 1939. He was
raised between DeSoto and Wyeville and went to Tomah High School. After graduation, he went on to
be an ironworker and did so for about 30 years. In 1973 he married Yvonne Redbird and they were
together for 47 years until her passing in 2020.

Norman had a love for watching Nascar, so much that he collected anything Dale Earnhardt Sr. that he
could find. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing, and going for rides with his wife, Stella, and looking at
different animals. Above all, Norman loved his grandchildren more than anything and just spending time
with them.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Smith; daughter, Yvette Smith-Brown; sister, Kate; many grandkids,
nieces, and nephews.

Noman is preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Smith; infant son, Norman Jr.; parents, Paul and Stella;
brothers, Levi, Elgon, John, Everett, Earl, and Oliver; sisters, Sadie, and Sandy.

A visitation for Norman will take place November 28, 2022 at the Buswell Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m.
until 11:30 a.m. Directly following the visitation will be a burial at the Decorah Cemetery.
