Joseph J McCracken, 41 years of age, from Eau Claire has been arrested by the Wisconsin State
Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense.
Troopers from the Wisconsin State Patrol – Eau Claire Post arrested Mr. McCracken for operating a
motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol 6th offense. At approximately 10:58 PM troopers
stopped a vehicle for a defective headlight. Upon approaching the vehicle, the trooper noticed a
heavy odor of intoxicants. Upon further investigation, including field sobriety tests, Mr. McCracken
was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated – 6th offense, operating a motor vehicle
with a revoked driver’s license, and failure to install an ignition interlock device. Mr. McCracken was
eventually turned over to the Eau Claire County Jail.
