Patricia Ann Roach, 92, of Blair, WI, formerly of Park Falls, WI,
passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 in the Grand View Care
Center in Blair.
Pat was born on May 2, 1934 in Whitehall, WI to Emilia (Bensend) Hegge
and Sigvald Hegge. She married Robert “Bob” Vern Roach on June 28,
1958 in Whitehall. Robert preceded Pat in death on April 20, 2021.
Pat is survived by her sons, Michael (Melinda) of Rockford, IL and
Thomas of Park Falls, WI and a vast extended family. She was preceded
in death by her beloved husband, Robert, and her siblings; sister,
Harriet Colliton; brothers, Hiram, Walter, Floren, George, Tom and
John Hegge.
Pat loved God and was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church in
Park Falls. Pat was devoted to her family, enjoying many camping
escapades and spending countless hours skiing, fishing, snowshoeing,
walking and birdwatching. Pat was a great golfer and won many local
championships. She traveled with Bob and played many courses all over
the country and some around the world.
Pat earned her art/education degree at University of Wisconsin,
Madison, and went on to teach art in the Nekoosa and Park Falls school
districts. Pat was a talented artist and loved bringing nature scenes
to life on paper through sketching and watercolor painting. Another
facet of her teaching career was the development of a local junior
golf program for kids. She was passionate about teaching others the
sport she loved.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Gundersen Tri-
County Senior Living and Grand View Care Center for the love, care and
support she received and the friendships she made. We are grateful for
local family members who provided much assistance to Pat and Bob
during their transition from their home to independent living. We
thank all the family and friends who visited, called and wrote to Pat.
A private burial will be followed by a funeral service at Our
Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Whitehall, WI at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday,
November 7, 2026. Scott Brown – SAM will officiate.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, Pat encourages donations to a local food pantry or
performance of random acts of kindness.
