The U.S. Postal Service is set to deliver exceptional service during the 2024 holiday season, thanks to its $40 billion “Delivering for America” plan. This initiative has significantly modernized the postal network, increasing daily package processing capacity to around 60 million and adding 106,000 new vehicles, including 66,000 electric ones.
With a stabilized workforce, USPS plans to hire 7,500 seasonal staff, down from 10,000 last year. New services like USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Connect have enhanced efficiency and boosted shipping volumes. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy expressed confidence in their ability to handle the holiday rush, ensuring reliable, affordable service for all customers.
