Praxeda “Pat” T. Pogreba

Praxeda “Pat” T. Pogreba, 88, of Independence, died on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Mayo
Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
Pat was born in Arcadia on April 11, 1934, to Clemence and Maggie (Wiersgalla) Ressel. She
was united in marriage to Marion Fox on March 10, 1955, in Huntley, IL. She later married Joe
Pogreba on October 28, 1967, at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence, where
she was a member of the PCCW and the Rosary Society. Pat worked at Gopher Glove factory in
Independence while it was in operation. Pat enjoyed fishing, putting together jigsaw puzzles,
playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.
Pat is survived by her sons: Ronnie (Melissa Raymer) Fox of Independence, Bruce (Cheri
Sonsalla) Fox of Hartford, WI, Bryan Fox of Colorado Springs, CO, and Darryl (Vanessa Horton)
Fox of Hope, AR; 6 granchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; son Randy Fox in infancy; brothers:
Harold Ressel and Stanley Ressel; sisters: Ann Johnson and Marie Berg; and daughter-in-law:
Nancy Fox.
A funeral service for Pat will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Edison
Funeral Home in Independence with Father George Thayilkuzhitottu officiating. Family and
friends are welcome for visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will
be held at a later date in S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. To express condolences to her
