The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is accepting public comments through March 2nd on a proposed special pesticide registration for Linex® 4L herbicide.

The registration would allow potato growers—especially in sandy soils of the Central Sands region—to control broadleaf weeds like common ragweed and poisonous Eastern black nightshade, which have become a growing problem.

Restrictions would apply near shallow groundwater, and the proposed registration would run through December 31, 2030. Comments can be submitted by mail or email and will become part of the preliminary environmental assessment record.
