The Aging & Disability Resource Services of Jackson County is continuing its aging goal of
hosting a quarterly Community & Cuisine: Dinner after 5 in which we explore different nutrition
topics with our Senior Nutrition program.
Our sixth session of Community & Cuisine: Dinner After Five will be Thursday, May 21 st at
5:00pm at the Department of Health and Human Services, 421 County Road R, Black River
Falls. Join us for the topic, The Art of Maple Syrup with Brad Markhardt, where we learn about
the centuries-old craft that blends nature, patience, and tradition. The evening will include a
presentation followed by dinner served and socialization.
The meal served will be maple Dijon chicken, broccoli salad with maple mustard dressing,
maple roasted sweet potatoes, and baked apple with maple syrup. You are eligible to attend
this Senior Nutrition program if you are aged 60 or older or attend with a spouse who is aged
60 or older. There is a suggested contribution of $5.50.
