Wisconsin homeowners and renters can sign up beginning November 1st for the state’s 2027 Landscape Pesticide Registry.
The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says the free program provides advance notice when commercial lawn care companies plan to apply pesticides to nearby lawns, trees and shrubs.
Registration runs through February 1st, 2027, and participants must sign up again each year. Starting March 15th, pesticide applicators must notify registered residents at least 12 hours before treating nearby properties.
The registry covers commercial landscape applications, but does not include pesticide use by homeowners or landlords, applications inside or around buildings, or agricultural pesticide use.
To register online or download a paper application, visit the Wisconsin DATCP website and search for the Landscape Pesticide Registry.
