Robert Michael “Rob” Newhouse

The family of Robert Michael “Rob” Newhouse, 57, of Hixton, Wisconsin, sadly announce his
passing at his home on January 17th, 2024.
Rob was born to Edna and the late Wilfred Newhouse on November 5th, 1965, in Virginia,
Minnesota. The family eventually moved to Wisconsin in 1969.
Rob, a graduate of Black River Falls High School in 1984 and the Western Wisconsin Vocational
Institute, dedicated his life to his work as an HVAC Technician. After years of service at Dale’s
Refrigeration, and Western Dairy Land he founded Rob’s Heating and Refrigeration, bringing
warmth and comfort to many homes and businesses.
An outdoor enthusiast, Rob relished the times he spent in the embrace of nature, whether it was
hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the quiet of his cabin life and spent countless hours enjoying
nature’s beauty. Sports played a significant role in Rob’s life, particularly football, with a special
love for the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed baseball and embraced the excitement of the
game. Beyond his hobbies and interests, Rob had a passion for working and meeting new people,
always bringing a friendly and warm presence wherever he went.
The true delight of his life, however, was his beloved daughter, Abigail. She was the heart of his
world, and he bestowed upon her his unwavering love and dedication. He took pride in being a
loving and supportive father. He embraced the roles of father, son, brother, and friend with a
generous heart.
Rob’s life was a testament to the value of hard work, the importance of family, and the joys of
living life to the fullest. He had a hobby farm, raised cattle, pigs, pheasants, quail and chucker’s
with the same care and dedication that he applied to all aspects of his life.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Abigail Syverson-Newhouse, his mother
Edna Newhouse, sister Susan (Keith, Jr.) Brown, brother Oscar Newhouse, and sister Rebecca
(Randy) Newhouse and nieces and great nephews. He joins in eternal rest with his father, Wilfred
Newhouse.
Heaven has a new star. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, although we
cannot see you, you’re always at our side. You may be out of our reach, but your love and
presence will forever be within our hearts!
The Newhouse family invites you to join them in a celebration of Rob’s life at Jensen Modjeski
Funeral Home, Hixton, Wisconsin, on January 27, 2024. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m.
to 2:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Trinity
Rest Cemetery immediately after the service.
