Rodney Louis Cronk, age 50, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Black River Falls, WI on Friday,
June 2, 2023. He was born in Racine, WI on December 10, 1972, son of the late James and Beverly (Skaff)
Cronk.
Rod attended Washington Park High School and later started his career as a mechanic. Anyone who
knew him, knew he loved wrenching on anything and was employed at Wood Sales & Service as a small
engine mechanic. He also had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter, spending a lot of his
time out in the woods or in his tree stand. Most important to him though, was his family. He married his
wife, Tracy, in 2011 and they moved to Black River Falls in 2013, where they built their life together. He
loved having the kids and grandchildren up to visit and was so excited for them to grow up so he could
get them out in the woods hunting with him. Rod was such a kind, caring person; always willing to lend a
helping hand or offer up his knowledge. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him.
He is proceeded in death by both of his parents. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving
wife, Tracy (Boehler) Cronk, stepson Tyler Meyer (Jessica Windhorst), and his two grandchildren, Lilah
and Jaxon Meyer; brother Randall (Jean) Cronk, sisters Darlene (Matthew) DeLeon and Carolyn Cronk;
nieces and nephews, Melissa and Anthony DeLeon, Robert (Kate) Cronk, Stephanie (Kyle) Peters, Nicole
Cronk, Erin (Jermaine) Francis and Erica Cronk; special friends David Vandenbranden, Conor Langdon,
Gabe Gazdecki and his cousin/hunting buddy Tim Cronk, as well as his extended family, many friends
and his two beloved dogs, Daisy and Butters.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2:00-5:00pm at Woodbine Inn, N11091
19th Ave. Necedah, WI 54646. Friends and family are invited to come share their stories and memories
in remembrance of him.
