Former Ho-Chunk Nation legislator Rodney Rave has suspended his campaign for Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District. In a statement released today, Rave said he believes staying in the race could split support and help elect a candidate he says would be “wrong for the district and wrong for the country.”
Rave announced he is endorsing fellow candidate Emily Berge and is encouraging his supporters to back her in both the August 11 primary and the November 3 general election. He said the two share similar values and a focus on representing the needs of local residents over political and corporate interests.
Rave thanked supporters, volunteers, and donors who stood behind his seven-month campaign, saying he remains grateful for the conversations and connections made throughout the race.
