Rodney “Rod” Lee Conradson (67) passed away unexpectedly in a car accident on Highway 12
in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on July 15, 2024.
He was born to William “Bill” and Nina (Roberts) Conradson in Beloit, Wisconsin, on April 18, He later graduated from Beloit High School.
After graduation, the family relocated to Black River Falls, and on July 25, 1987, Rod married
his true love, Mary Oelrich at the Black River Falls Catholic Church. Rod and Mary would have
celebrated their 37-year anniversary this July.
Shortly after moving to Black River, Rod began his autobody career at Kisinger Auto Shop
before later working for Wild’s, Joel Bement’s, and finally, Gary’s Autobody. Rod was an
incredibly talented autobody technician and often had customers ask specifically for him to work
with their vehicles. Rod could take a rusty old car and make it look brand-new again.
Rod’s other talents included fishing and hunting and was also a boating and gun enthusiast.
Known as “Rudnick” to his friends, he will be remembered for his kind-hearted spirit and heart of
gold. Although Rod did not attend church, he was a devout man of God.
Rod is survived by his mother, Nina, his sister Susan (Patrick) Kilwien, his loving wife of 37
years, Mary Conradson, his son Matthew Conradson and step-son Michael Savic, his nieces,
nephews, cousins, and many other loving friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Conradson.
A funeral service will be held at the Shamrock Union Church on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at
11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held an hour before the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at the Shamrock Union Cemetery immediately after. Following the
committal service, everyone is invited to a luncheon provided by the church.
