Ruth Sheila Puent

Ruth Sheila Puent, age 76, of Black River Falls, WI, died on July 31, 2023 at Mulder Nursing Home in West Salem,
WI. Ruth was born June 18, 1947, to Earl and Eva (Littlebear) Blackdeer in Black River Falls, WI. She attended Black
River Falls High School and continued a career working for the Ho-Chunk Nation as a Community Health
Representative for which she worked over thirty years as. She enjoyed going fishing, winning at Bingo, putting together puzzles, traveling out West, beading, watching the
Packers and Badgers, but what she truly enjoyed most was spending time with her family. More specifically, making
sure all her grandkids and great grandkids were spoiled. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Ruth is survived by her children, Robin Blackdeer, Toni Blackdeer, Patricia DeLao, Dawn Blackdeer McGuire,
Diane Littlegeorge, Chad Blackdeer, Stacey Blackdeer and Roy Littlegeorge, siblings, Sophie Blackdeer, Veronica
Espinoza, and Stanley Blackdeer; grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Mackenzie, Alicia, Uriah, Tootie, Marissa, Peyton,
Samantha, Chance, Hailey, Cyan, Paige, Ellie, Pharroh, Isiah, Kiara, Jayce, and Lori; and great grandkids, Ryleigh,
Quintus, Demarion, Zay, Sheyanne, Ayden, Kaylee, Junior, and Bentley. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Eva; siblings, Joanne Kulte, Patricia Ann Blackdeer, Christina
Blackdeer, William Blackdeer, Curtis Blackdeer, and Earl Blackdeer; and her life-long partner, Darrell Frost. Visitation for Ruth will take place August 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Buswell Funeral Home, following the
visitation a service will take place at 12:00 p.m. at the Blackdeer Homestead. Elliot Garvin will officiate. The Buswell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, 715-284-2231.
