Sandy May George, 55, of Arcadia, died suddenly from complications of cancer on Saturday,
June 27th, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Sandy was born in Ely, MN on January 1st, 1971, to Russel and Sherry (McDonald)
Frost. Her early life was in northern Minnesota until her family moved to the Durand
area when she was 11. Sandy graduated from Durand High School and began working for
Ashley Furniture Industries. While working at Ashley, Sandy met her future husband, Patrick
George. Together they shared 5 children: Jenna, Jessa, Elizabeth, Zachary, and Nicolas. Sandy
began bartending in the early 90’s for local Arcadia establishments, ultimately managing Up-
Chuck's in the most recent years. Sandy loved socializing and sharing cold ones with friends and
family. Sandy’s hobbies included shooting pool league, fishing, camping, and gardening. Sandy
was always up for a good time while listening to good music, to which she would say, “TURN IT
UP!” to all of her favorites.
Sandy is survived by her parents Russell and Sherry Frost of Maiden Rock; brother: Troy Frost of
Maiden Rock: children: Jenna (Javier) Arauz of Hopkins, MN, Jessa (Hugo) Montalvo-George of
Independence, Elizabeth (Matthew) Thomas of Ettrick, Zachary (Jennifer) George of
Trempealeau, and Nicholas (Jonathan) George of Arcadia; 12 grandchildren with one on the
way; many nieces and nephews; her last love: Brian Konkel of Mondovi; and special pets, her
dogs: Mr. Big and Lola.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and husband, Patrick.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. at the
Arcadia Country Club. All are welcome to come and share stories, memories, and a few drinks
