The School District of Black River Falls Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, December 15th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office on North 4th Street.
The meeting opens with standard procedures, including roll call of board members and public comment. The district will livestream the meeting on its YouTube channel following the public comment period.
Under Community Engagement, the board will review recent gifts and grants, hear an update from the Legislative Advocacy Committee, and discuss several key topics: use of the school forest, the possible sale of district land, open enrollment strategy, upcoming WASB resolutions and delegate selection, and school safety reports.
In the Our People section, board members will hear a “Focus on Purpose” presentation from 9–12 science staff and consider employment recommendations.
The Student Success agenda includes a student achievement report, discussion of a possible high school schedule change for the 2026–27 year, a conversation about tightening the student attendance policy, and an update from the Student Senate.
For Finance and Facilities, the board will review monthly expenditures.
Reports will follow, including meeting minutes, the district administrator’s report, WASB updates, conference attendance, and school board connection opportunities.
Before adjourning, the board will move into closed session under Wisconsin law to discuss school safety plans—items that cannot be addressed publicly to protect district security strategies.
The meeting concludes with identification of future agenda items and adjournment.
