Schlinsog. Stevyn grew up on a dairy farm, where he cultivated a strong work ethic and love for
rural life. He attended Romadka Grade School and Granton High School, balancing his studies
with farm responsibilities, which even included tending to the school’s furnace morning and

Additionally, Stevyn owned & operated grain trucks, buying & selling grain throughout
Wisconsin, creating friendships along the way. He later operated a gas truck, hauling petroleum
products for local co-ops and Drescher Oil Company. His greatest endeavor was owning and
operating several dairy farms, where he milked 150 cows and raised dairy heifers.
Stevyn was a dedicated member of his community; he served on the Clark County ASCS Board
and the Veefkind Community Church Board. An avid tractor collector, Stevyn was also an active
member of the Granton Antique Tractor Club, where he shared his passion for tractors with
fellow enthusiasts.
Stevyn married Retta (née Lammey) Schlinsog on November 14, 1971, after a previous marriage
to Carol (née Foemmel). Stevyn and Retta raised their families and created a legacy of love and
dedication.
