Authorities in Trempealeau County are investigating a stabbing that happened Friday in the Village of Trempealeau. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police say the suspect was arrested in Winona, Minnesota, and is awaiting extradition back to Trempealeau County. Another person was also taken into custody in connection with the case. The investigation remains ongoing. Chief Jeremy Randall thanked multiple local departments and agencies for their assistance, including the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office and Winona Police.
