Tammy Kay Kobinski, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away
on January 26th, 2024, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin at the age of 63.
She was born on April 11th, 1960, to Susan Calkins in Whitehall, Wisconsin, where she grew up
with her siblings Randy, Maryanne, Linda, and Welden.
After graduating from Black River Falls High School, Tammy continued her education at
Western Technical College in La Crosse, where she received an Associate’s degree in 1989. She
then embarked on a successful career in the gaming industry in Las Vegas, Lincoln City, OR, and
Black River Falls, Wisconsin, where she retired.
Tammy was a loving and active woman who lived life to the fullest. She was known for her
adventurous spirit and her warm-hearted nature. Her family could spend hours sharing stories
about the hijinks Tammy would get up to, often roping in her siblings. Tammy had a passion for
gardening and possessed a green thumb, nurturing plants to flourish under her care. In addition,
she enjoyed working on various craft projects, with ceramics being her favorite.
Tammy will be deeply missed by her loving children, Chris, Faith, and Shannon, her partner
Michael German, her grandchildren Sade, Shyann, Shawn, and Storm, and her great-grandson
Johnny. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Jacob, Jameson, Angela,
Johlissa, Garrett, and Tyler.
Tammy her preceded in death by her mother, Susan, as well as her brother Randy, and sister
Maryanne.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls,
Wisconsin on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please join the family
