Terry D. Lee, age 60, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away on August 23, 2023, at Meadowbrook Assisted
Living. He was born on May 21, 1963, in Black River Falls, the son of Charles and Marilyn Lee. He
graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1981. During Terry’s later school years, he would ride the
school bus to toddle-in nursery and trim Christmas trees after school, and travel down South in the fall
to help sell them.
He married Karen Ulness on December 5, 1992, and together raised 3 boys: Josh, Jason, and Jacob. They
also had a hobby farm with pigs, chickens, ducks, and geese. They later divorced. Terry joined the Army
National Guard during his Junior year of High School and went to basic training in Fort Knox Kentucky.
After training, he became a member of the 106 supply and service out of Black River Falls. He loved
Pistol and trap shooting and was a member of the combat pistol shooting team and traveled around
shooting in competitions with fellow service members. Terry was an avid outdoorsman with hobbies such as hunting, fishing, trapping, and was at home in
nature. He took numerous hunting and fishing trips to places such as Alaska and bagged a moose there.
He also took numerous trips out West in hunt of Mule Deer. During his working years, he was a member of the local 268 of Eau Claire and worked for D+M masonry
out of Falls Creek for 20 years. After the laborers, he worked for Zelies Tree Service for over a decade.
He also spent a short time at Northern Engraving out of Sparta. Terry was a great father and friend who
will be deeply missed by all. Terry is survived by his mother, Marilyn Lee; sons, Joshua (Chelsey) Lee, Jason (Chandra) Lee, and Jacob
(Jayden) Lee; grandchildren, Tucker, Marsha, Natalie, and Keaston. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Lee; and grandparents, Joe and Elaine Kalstad, and Carl
and Helen Lee. Funeral services for Terry will take place Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Squaw Creek
Church. Vicar Augie Hohl will officiate. Friends and family are welcome to visitation from 10:00 a.m. until
time of service. Burial will immediately follow at the Squaw Creek Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made out to Interfaith or an organization of your choice. The Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, 715-284-4321.
