The Tomah Health Community Foundation is helping more children make safe and healthy decisions.
Foundation members donated twenty-five hundred dollars to the Tomah Police Department Tuesday to expand the local Drug Abuse Resistance Education or DARE program.
Tomah Police Patrol Officer and DARE Instructor Jayden Olson says the donation will be helpful to get the message out to all public and private elementary schools in Tomah during the upcoming school year.
DARE is an education program aimed to prevent the use of controlled drugs, membership in gangs, and violent behavior.
It’s the second year that the foundation has donated money to the Tomah Police DARE program.
