Top baby name in 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse goes to……

LA CROSSE, Wis. ― Poets, authors, kings and actors throughout history have been named Henry. Hopefully, more Henry’s will have as bright of a future and it was the most popular baby name chosen by families in 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.

Henry has a history of being the top baby name at Family Birthplace at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. It’s been among the top names for five of the last eight years and was the top overall name in 2017. It most recently was second in boy names in 2021.

The No. 1 girl name in 2023 at Family Birthplace is too close to call. Harper and Olivia will share the honor in 2023. This is the first time Harper has returned to the top list since being selected as the top overall name in 2018. Olivia also returns to the list for the first time since 2018.

“As exciting as this year was, next year will be even more exciting as we will be delivering more babies in both our current facility and also in our new hospital and birthing center in late 2024,“ Dr. Scarseth says.

Henry is ranked 7^th among names for boys nationwide, according to BabyNames.com.

Last year’s No. 1 baby name at Family Birthplace was Emma. The top boy name in 2022 was Levi.
