The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run that occurred around 6:03 p.m. Saturday on County Road J in the Town of Dodge.
Authorities say a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. The victim was airlifted to Gundersen La Crosse with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The suspect vehicle was later located abandoned in Eau Claire County, and the suspect has since been arrested. Investigators say the suspect and the victim knew each other.
The investigation remains ongoing.
The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Arcadia Police Department, Arcadia Ambulance, and the Dodge Fire Department.
