The Arcadia Police Department has released the names of those involved in last Sunday’s early morning disturbance at Memorial Park. According to Chief Nic Scholl, his department was called to the park, just after 1:00am, for a large fight involving around 20-30 people. Witnesses reported one person was using a machete. When officers arrived, they found several people injured, four of which were taken to Tri-County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Later that morning, the investigation led officers to arrest 39 year-old Juan Rodriquez of Arcadia. Rodriquez is charged with two counts of second degree recklessly endangering safety, two counts of substantial battery, and two counts of disorderly conduct, which include a modifier for use of a dangerous weapon. On Monday, an additional suspect, 47 year-old Antonio Lorenzo Blas, of Arcadia, was arrested for battery in connection with the incident. Ten departments provided assistance on the scene early Sunday morning including the Independence, Blair, Whitehall, Trempealeau, and Galesville Police Departments; Trempealeau and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Departments; Arcadia Fire and Ambulance as well as Tri-County Ambulance. Chief Scholl says the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Arcadia Police Department.
