The Upper Midwest Vintage Racing Series wrapped up their 2023 season with a stop at Rockford Speedway in Illinois this past Saturday. Rockford Speedway has been in operation since 1948 and also ran their last race ever as the historic race track is now shut down for development. Sixteen drivers from 3 states took part in the vintage portion of the days events. Heat race winners were Eric Melchior of Watertown and Landry Potter of Twin Lakes. The 25 lap feature went to Jason Stark of Tomah,followed by Tom Gille of Winnebago,Illinois, Landry Potter third with Larry Bolster and Thayran Rezin of Tomah rounding out the top five.
