On July 13, 2025, at about 5:50 PM, a Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a
fleeing vehicle on State Highway 27 in the Township of Manchester.
Prior to this, the Sheriff’s Office received an attempt to locate request from another police
agency. They requested that we locate and apprehend Jeremy Guy, age 47, Sparta. Guy had a
felony warrant for his arrest through Probation/Parole and they also had local charges for him.
It was reported that the fugitive may have been armed with a pistol.
At 5:43 PM, the Sheriff’s Deputy received an alert through our Flock license plate camera
system that the fugitive’s vehicle had entered Jackson County. The Deputy located and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and stopped on a dead-
end road before the driver fled on foot. The driver and passenger were taken into custody without further incident. Suspected drugs were located on the driver and in the vehicle.
The passenger, Brenda Hintz, 61, Black River Falls, was arrested for Possession of
Methamphetamine.
Guy was booked into the Jackson County Jail under Fleeing an Officer, Possession of
Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia, Obstructing an Officer, and for the active warrant.
