Vicki Jo Weldon, of Black River Falls, WI, age 63, died at home peacefully surrounded by her family on
Sunday, August 13, 2023. She was born in Minneapolis, MN to Loren and Joy (Pierce) Hannan on
November 16, 1959, the fourth of six children. Due to her father’s job, She grew up moving to several different states ranging from Minnesota, Iowa,
South Dakota and Wisconsin. She graduated High School in 1979 in Clear Lake, IA. When Vicki was just
10 years old and living in Cedar Falls she met her best friend… and her best friend’s older brother, Duane
Weldon, whom she had quite a crush on. Vicki had moved away, but when she was 22 the two were
reunited. On August 18, 1984, she married the love of her life, Duane in Cedar Falls, IA. This year they
would have been celebrating 39 years of marriage. She joined the life of a sailor doing more travel. In
this marriage, two children were born, Tifanie Jo and Cory Duane, who both arrived in Corpes Christy,
TX. The last five years of Navy life took them to live in Japan. Upon her husband’s retirement, they
returned to WI to be near her family. She was actively involved with the Girl Scout organization seeing Tifanie all the way through. Vicki was a
troop leader, as well as a district leader. She was also involved with her son and husband in the ‘Falls
Players’ as a secretary. When she was younger, she helped take care of her mother’s dog Kennel,
trimming dogs, clipping toenails, doing shots, and giving meds. Needless to say, she loved all animals.
Vicki was blessed with three grandchildren, Eliso, Farah, and Mateo. Vicki is survived by her husband, Duane; daughter, Tifanie (Antonio) Miles; son, Cory (Abby) Weldon;
and grandkids, Eliso, Farah, and Mateo Miles. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Loren and Joy Hannan; brother, Loren; and sister,
Patty. Funeral services for Vicki will be Monday, August 21, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Black
River Falls at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Inwha Shon will officiate. Friends and family are invited to visitation
Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Torgerson’s Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and one hour
prior to the service Monday. Burial will be at the Pierce Family Cemetery in Oak Grove, MN. The Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements, 715-284-4321.
