A referendum in the Village of Melrose is asking its residents if it can exceed imposed levy limits by just over $128-thousand dollars. Tuesday’s referendum question indicates the increased funding is needed for Village Operating Expenses, Ambulance Service, and Infrastructure. If approved the extra levy would occur on an ongoing basis and include an $85,000 increase for each fiscal year going forward.
