Elementary students across Wisconsin will soon get a chance to visit a beef farm—without ever leaving their classroom.

The virtual tour is hosted by Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom in partnership with the Wisconsin Beef Council, Alice in Dairyland, and Poppy Family Farms.

During the 30-minute live event, students will explore a working beef farm in Omro, meet cattle, and learn how farmers raise and care for their animals. The tour will be led by Wisconsin’s 78th Alice in Dairyland, Sarah Hagenow, alongside farmer Rebecca Poppy.

The interactive experience is designed for elementary classrooms and includes opportunities for students to ask questions. Teachers can also submit questions in advance for a chance to win an agriculture-themed book.

The event is free, runs about 30 minutes, and is designed to fit easily into the school day.
