The Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter proudly
announces that WalzCraft, a distinguished company based in La Crosse, has pledged to serve as the
presenting sponsor for the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in La Crosse. The event is scheduled to take
place on September 21, 2024, at Riverside Park.
Marie Schneider, HR Manager at WalzCraft, expressed the company’s deep commitment to the cause:
“Our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association is more than just financial support; it’s a commitment
to unraveling the mysteries of this devastating disease. Our owner, Richard Walz, passed away from this
terrible disease in 2022. With every step we take, every dollar donated, and every awareness raised, we
hope to help find a cure for this terrible disease.”
Richard Walz, the esteemed owner of WalzCraft, showcased remarkable resilience throughout his battle
with Alzheimer’s disease before his passing in 2022. Today, the company continues to uphold a strong
dedication and passion to support the cause. In addition to WalzCraft’s sponsorship, the WalzCraft Walk
Team, affectionately known as the Walz Walkers, achieved an impressive fundraising milestone of
$6,858 in 2023 with the participation of 37 members, predominantly comprised of dedicated employees.

Crosse, conveyed gratitude to WalzCraft for their unwavering commitment and generosity as the
presenting sponsor of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in La Crosse: “Those who support this cause shine a

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for
Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Participants honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the
poignant Promise Garden ceremony, signifying solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of
the Promise Garden flowers represent individuals’ connection to Alzheimer’s and their personal
motivations to end the disease. In 2023, the La Crosse Walk achieved a remarkable fundraising
milestone, gathering $106,706 with the collective efforts of 34 teams and 311 participants. This
surpasses the previous all-time record by over $20,000, illustrating the community’s strong commitment
and support for the cause.
