(Milwaukee, WI) — Power bills for a lot of people in southeast Wisconsin could see a double-digit jump. We Energies yesterday asked state regulators for a 13 percent electric rate hike. That is twice the increase that the company had originally proposed. We Energies says it needs to raise rates to help keep-up with rising costs and inflation. The utility company says the average increase for homeowners will be almost 15 dollars per-month. It’s also asking state regulators to okay a natural gas rate hike as well. That too could be as much as 13 percent more.
