LA CROSSE, Wis. – Western Technical College will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newly remodeled Truck and Heavy Equipment Facility on Tuesday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m., located at 2719 Larson St., La Crosse.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will celebrate the grand opening after a $4.7 expansion and remodeling project last fall. The project helped expand the building’s bay system, which was last renovated in 2001. The 3,168 square foot expansion allows up to another five trucks available for instruction. The renovation also added additional classroom space, larger assembly areas, and an improved student lounge.
“Like so many of our programs, these positions are in such high demand, and it’s a great investment into our local economy,” said Mike Poellinger, associate dean of the Integrated Technology Division at Western. “This investment will continue to help add jobs to our community while creating a better learning environment for our students.”
