WIC will start issuing farmers’ market checks starting on June 1st. Each eligible WIC participant can receive a total of $30 for the summer to purchase select locally grown fruits, vegetables and herbs at approved farmers’ markets and farm stands. Active WIC participants can call the WIC office after June 1st, if interested in receiving these checks.

WIC provides healthful foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals to health care and community resources. Participants can receive their nutrition education over the phone by calling the WIC office at (608) 269-8671 or complete on-line at WICHealth.org.
