On June 10, 2023, Wilton Public Library will host the first Wilton Art and Cultural Festival. This festival is
to both highlight the wonderful talent Wilton and surrounding areas have plus share a bit about who we
are and what can we learn from each other.
Wilton Public Library is planning a performance portion of the day to include dancers, singers, musicians,
storytellers, and more. In the park, to offer the local crafters and artists a place to display and sell their
works, we are offering booth spaces. As this is an outdoor event, please be prepared to supply your own
tables, chairs and tent to be sheltered from the weather.
As food is large part of any culture, we encourage food trucks and food booths as well at this event.
As a part of the event, a sidewalk chalk art competition is planned. Participants will be given a space to
create their own original artwork. Participants will be grouped by age. Each age group will be awarded
prizes based on creativity and technique. A silent auction is also planned to consist of items from local
artists and crafters.
“This year we are fortunate to have the opportunity to host such an event as our Summer Reading
Program theme is All Together Now and all about community, kindness, and coming together. A festival
like this shows us how we are all important pieces in our local communities and we have far reaching
impact on those around us,” said Kelly Lupton, the library director.
Please be sure to reserve June 10, 2023, to come and support Wilton’s first Art and Culture Festival. To
donate or participate in the event, please contact the library at 608-435-6710 or email
wiltonlibrary@wrlsweb.org. All proceeds from the event will go to Wilton Public Library.
