(Madison, WI)  —  Two state agencies are urging Wisconsin to keep it safe on the upcoming Labor Day weekend.  The Department of Natural Resources says operators of A-T-Vs and U-T-Vs should use safety equipment like helmets and be smart while riding. Trails and other routes are expected to be busy and 11 people have died this year in A-T-V and U-T-V crashes.  The Department of Transportation wants drivers to slow down and eliminate distractions.  The Wisconsin Highway Patrol reminds those drivers that speed limits apply to ideal conditions and your speed should be adjusted based on the weather and the traffic load.
