The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation has identified the Kenosha police officer who shot Jacob Blake Sunday evening.
Officer Rusten Sheskey has served with the Kenosha Police Department for seven years. Sheskey and other officers were called to a home by a woman saying her boyfriend was there when he wasn’t supposed to be. Sheskey fired his service weapon seven times into Blake’s back while holding onto his shirt. Kenosha police don’t wear body cameras.
