The Disabled American Veterans of Wisconsin office says the PACT Act will benefit more than three-point-two-million vets. Spokesperson Al Labelle says that’s because many veterans were exposed to toxins during their service. The bill will expand health care benefits for veterans who developed illnesses due to that exposure. It could be everything from radiation risks during atomic testing, Agent Orange exposure, burn pits, and so-called “forever chemicals.” The legislation has sailed through Congress and is only waiting for the president’s signature.
