The Wisconsin Army National Guard will welcome home more than 250 Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 128th Infantry Regiment this Saturday, August 9th, at 11 a.m. at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport.

The Eau Claire–based unit just completed a nearly year-long deployment to Kuwait and other countries in the U.S. Central Command region in support of Operation Spartan Shield. While overseas, the battalion provided rapid-response capabilities, base defense, and security missions, as well as participating in joint training with partner nations.

Families, friends, and the public are invited to attend the homecoming ceremony.
