(Galloway, NJ) — Wisconsin officials have to the U-S Cranberry Marketing Committee the state is expecting to produce five-point-two-million barrels of cranberries this season. That would make Wisconsin the number-one cranberry-producing state in the country for the 28th straight year. W-M-T-V reports the committee is meeting in New Jersey this week where it predicts the total U-S harvest at eight-point-three-million barrels. Wisconsin officials say 21-thousand acres of cranberries in 20 counties generate one-billion dollars in economic impact for the state while providing thousands of jobs.
