The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is inviting the public to enjoy fall candlelight hikes, festivals and family-friendly events at state parks, forests and recreation areas throughout October and November.

Activities include illuminated hiking trails, bonfires, s’mores, pumpkin carving and fall color viewing.

Upcoming events this Saturday, October 10th, include a candlelight hike at Governor Dodge State Park, Fall Fest at Wildcat Mountain State Park, Leaf Stomp at the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest, and Run Wild at Potawatomi State Park.

Most locations require a 2026 state park vehicle admission pass. Visitors are encouraged to wear bright-colored clothing or use glow sticks for safety, and park in designated areas.

For a complete schedule of events, visit the Wisconsin DNR website and search its events calendar. The DNR reminds everyone that Wisconsin’s outdoor spaces are open and welcoming to all.
