The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites everyone to enjoy the outdoors during the 13th annual Free Fun Weekend, happening June 7–8, 2025. Throughout the weekend, state park admission fees, trail passes, and fishing licenses are waived for all residents and visitors.

This year’s event also celebrates the 125th anniversary of the Wisconsin State Park System, with special programs, merchandise sales, and historical highlights across more than 120 state properties.

Key Highlights:

No fees for admission to state parks, trails, and forests.

Free fishing (no license or stamps required); clinics and tackle loaner sites available.

ATVs, UTVs, and OHMs may be used on designated trails without registration or trail passes.

Special anniversary sale at Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest on June 7.
