(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Organizers expect about eight-thousand people to attend the American Legion national convention this weekend.  The 103rd annual gathering gets underway today (Wednesday).  With the Republican National Convention coming to Cream City in two years, Milwaukee is becoming something of a convention hot spot.  The American Legion is holding its convention here for the fourth time.  The first one was in 1941 – the most recent in 2010.  Most of the events will be held in the Wisconsin Center although next Monday night at American Family Field will be designated American Legion Family Baseball Night.
