Mega Holiday chain sells two $50,000 winning Powerball
tickets within five days

MADISON, Wis. — A $50,000 Powerball winning ticket was sold at Mega Holiday on 6126 Texaco Dr. in Eau Claire for the Monday, June 12th drawing. The winning ticket matched four of five numbers (2-3-16-23-68) plus the Powerball (7).

It is the second time in a week that a Mega Holiday location and a Powerball win are making news. On June 7th, a $50,000 Powerball winning ticket was purchased at a Mega Holiday in Altoona.

Five big Powerball winning tickets have been sold in Wisconsin in June so far including:

June 12th at Mega Holiday in Eau Claire ($50,000)
June 7th at Mega Holiday in Altoona ($50,000)
June 5th at Festival Foods in Fond du Lac ($1,000,000)
June 3rd at Berkot’s Super Foods in Twin Lakes ($50,000)
June 3rd at Station Hustis in Hustiford ($50,000)

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com/winners/claim-prize. All winning Lottery tickets need to be signed. Lottery tickets are bearer instruments; whoever signs the back of the ticket is considered the rightful owner. 

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

The odds of winning a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130 and the odds of winning a $1,000,000 Powerball prize are 1: 11,688,054.

The estimated Powerball jackpot for the Wednesday, June 14th drawing is $340 million. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional dollar.
