Ann Marie George, 80, of Arcadia passed away under hospice care at home surrounded by her family on
May 30th, 2023.
Ann was born August 13th, 1942, to Roy and Blanche (Bohlinger) Ziegler in Arcadia, WI.
Ann graduated from Fountain City High School. She married Franklin George on September 3rd, 1960, at
the Fountain City Catholic Church. Together they had a dairy farm for 35 years. After selling the cows
Ann worked for the School District of Arcadia in the cafeteria.
Ann was a member of Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed farming with her husband, bowling, sewing,
gardening, going to the Buffalo County Fair and time with her family. She was well known for her famous
potato salad and refrigerator pickles.
Ann is survived by her husband, Franklin; 4 sons: Steven (Cindy) of Ettrick, Jeffrey (Linda) of Arcadia,
Cory (Melanie) of Arcadia, Brian (Courtney) of Arcadia; 2 daughters: Betty Jo Stetzer (Bob Przybylski) of
Ettrick and Sandra Larson of Melrose; sisters: Fay (late Gerald) of East Troy, WI, Janet (Dan) of Chippewa
Falls, WI; brother, Fred (Cindy) of Fountain City, WI; sister-in-law, Marion of Fountain City, WI; 11
grandchildren: Morgan G (Austyn), Jason, Alyssia (Zach), Lindsay (Jake), Morgan R, Ethan, Myla, Amanda,
Elizabeth (Devon), Mackenzie (Quincy) and Derek; and 10 great-grandchildren: Elliott, Emmitt, Cooper,
Leland, Jasmine, Ivianna, Birdie, Fern, Raelyn and Warren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy; mother, Blanche; and brother, David.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Wozney-Killian Funeral Home
in Arcadia with Father Kyle Laylan officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the
service. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Glencoe. A celebration of her life will follow at
