The Arcadia Wildfire is now 99% contained. The Wisconsin DNR announced Friday evening fire crews made good progress towards containing the nearly 31-hundred acre blaze, which started Wednesday afternoon, in Monroe County on Fort McCoy. Officials have lifted all evacuation and road closure orders. The DNR says crews were working overnight to contain active fire along interior containment lines, fire burning in oak and pine, and monitor flare-ups. No injuries were reported. Three structures were damaged and one shed was lost. The DNR Forestry Incident Management Team is expected to wrap up their command of the fire incident this afternoon.
