The Black River Falls Common Council meets Tuesday evening with several action items on the agenda. Council members will receive the city’s 2025 audited financial statements, consider proposals for a housing market study, and review a pilot agreement with the Make My Move program aimed at attracting new residents. They will also vote on a temporary alcohol license for the Jackson County Ag Society’s Wes Fest fundraiser and take final action on updates to the city’s wellhead protection ordinance.

At its previous meeting, the council discussed downtown traffic safety, explored adding speed radar signs instead of lowering the Main Street speed limit, approved up to $7,500 for historic downtown signs, and renewed annual alcohol licenses. Council members also heard updates on parks, library solar improvements, fire department staffing, and street construction projects.
