Tomah Health and Versiti Blood Center officials are asking area residents to help meet a high demand for blood by donating October fourth or fifth in Tomah.
Versiti account representative Emalea Cogdill says a stable blood supply is critical to the health of a community.
A two-day blood drive is scheduled October fourth and fifth from noon to five p-m at Tomah’s Recreation Park.
To donate blood, a person must be in good health, at least seventeen years old, weigh at least one hundred-ten pounds and have photo identification. Sixteen-year-olds can also donate with parental consent.
Donors can register for a donation time on-line at Tomah Health – dot – org.
Versiti Blood Center is the sole blood supplier to over fifty hospital systems in Wisconsin including Tomah Health, the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center and other hospitals in the Coulee Region.
