(Boyd, WI) — Taxes are going up for roads in Boyd because of a single person. Leaders say their tax referendum passed Tuesday 114-113. The one vote difference is enough to ask for a recount. But because fewer than four thousand people voted, someone in Boyd is going to have to petition for that recount. Chippewa County’s clerk says it’s not automatic.
