Brice L. Hefner, 63, of Black River Falls, and formerly of Tomah, died on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Pine View Care Center in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. He was born on November 29, 1962, to Robert and Ann Shirley (McCaskey) Hefner in Tomah. He was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1982. Throughout his life, Brice worked for a variety of businesses, most notably Cardinal Glass and Handishop Industries. He was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, always ready to cheer on his favorite team. Brice also cherished the time he spent at his parents’ permanent site at Jellystone, where he enjoyed relaxing, visiting, and even working for a short period.
A constant theme in Brice’s life was his unwavering willingness to help others. During his time at the nursing home, he was known for offering a push to the dining hall, joining fellow residents for a game of cards, or simply extending a kind and steady hand. Brice’s generosity, gentle spirit, and readiness to support those around him will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Nic (Brittany) Hefner and Alyson (significant other, Marvin) Hefner; grandchildren, Haylie, Brooklyn, Domynic; step grandchildren, Mycalah, Mariyah, Rickie, Madelaine and Makenli; siblings, Tara (Curt) Murray and Karen (Bob) Gnewikow; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and three aunts. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Brice is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ann Shirley Hefner; and a granddaughter, Lydia Ann Hefner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. Father Ethan Hokamp will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. The family invites those attending to wear Packer attire in honor of Brice.
