Bunny Jeanne Ida, of Fall Creek, passed away April 17 th at Mayo Clinic in Barron,
Wisconsin.
Bunny was born April 21, 1951 in Ely, MN to Alfred and Mildred (Preblich) Mock. She
attended school in Ely through the 8 th grade, and moved to the Mondovi area of
Wisconsin around the age of 16 to care for her aunt’s children.
In June of 1970, she met her future husband Harold at the Buckhorn Bar near Augusta,
WI. She often told people how Harold asked her to marry him the first day they met, and
she refused! Eventually, after Harold returned from military service, he and Bunny
reconnected, and finally married December 30, 1976 in Belvidere, IL.
Bunny and Harold returned to Wisconsin in 1977. They lived in several different
communities around the Eau Claire and Strum areas, and raised five children together.
Bunny held several jobs during her life; she loved to cook and did so professionally at
different area establishments. She also was a loving mother and homemaker, raising
not just her own children but being a second mother to many others in her communities.
She was a strong and assertive woman and mother.
She also loved crafting: stained glass windows, blankets, painting, and many others.
Bunny’s love of crafting was inspiring to her children, even if it took up a lot of space in
her and Harold’s home!
Bunny is survived by her husband Harold; her children Christina, Teresa (Saul),
Rebecca, Harold (Jennifer), Stephanie (Brian); grandchildren Abigail, Huntyr (Tenley),
Lydia (Anthony), Ian (Montana), Miriam (John), Lillian, Jordy, Brian; greatgrandchildren
Kingston and Kehlani; step-grandchildren Vanessa and Eric; siblings Kathy, Alfred
(Patti), Barry, Paula, Laurie, Allen, Kenny (Sheila), Mark (Elizabeth); best friends Toppy
Potts and family; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Alfred and her sister Debbie Lee.
A memorial service for Bunny will be held on Monday, April 29 at the Schiefelbein
Funeral Home, 13507 7 th St, Osseo Wisconsin, at 6pm; visitation will be held at the
